- I managed to scam an old LaserJet prnter, and I cannot seem to
- get it to print correctly.
- I have an A2000, GVP 040, 3.1 KS, 17 Ram....
- I hooked the printer up to the Amiga serial port, using a
- straight thru serial cable (from my 2400 modem, not a hardware handshaking
- cable.) I also have a null modem at the printer end.
- So I think I have it set up ok. If I hit the test-print button I
- can get output, so I think the printer is ok. I have n FOnt cartidges,
- and I tried the LaserJet printer driver from WB 3.1, and no go when printing
- out of Final Writer.
- I downloaded the Laserjet stuff from Aminet, and none of them seeme
- to help much. Any suggestions as what to try next?
- Software wise, the program that worries me most is Print Manager,
- as it seems to be cachiing the print output, even though the prnter is on
- the serial port.
